Futsal has been developed and played in all over the world since past long time, in Nepal it has been played and is gaining popularity recently. It can be indicated as a cooperate house game.In Nepal it has mostly targeted to cooperate employees and students. Since it is indoor and have light facilities, it can be played at anytime and at any weather.The facilities provided by futsal companies in Nepal varies from parking lot to sauna bath.

Tracking back to history, it was started back at 1930 in Brazil and Uruguay. Since then many changes has been made to the game.

Why it is so popular ?

Football itself is one of the popular game in Nepal,Futsal is just another modified version of football. When introduced in Nepal, it was and is targeted to various age groups and genders.Mostly students are more attracted towards it.Besides that employees and other interested person can play it in any time,like we can play futsal at 10 PM with lights on, wow right after office. Isn’t it fascinating in country like Nepal?

Playing futsal in turf is another fantasy for people.

Many tournament are being held in Kathmandu among corporate houses,software companies and even colleges which is one of the major reason that futsal is being popular.Additional to that corporate houses take it as a recreational

activities and last but not least it is best way to stay fit.

How it is being played in Nepal ?

In Nepal it is being played in hourly basis.Each team consist of 5 players with 3 to 4 substitutes.It is being played in artificial turf under roof.Normally lights are being provided in every futsal arena such that the game can be played under lights during night also.The size of futsal ground varies but normally it will be around 35-50 meters.Goal post are like 5.10 feet high with approximately 6 feet in width since there is no fixed standard maintained in Nepal.

Pricing for Futsal

Price of futsal varies according to location, time and infrastructures. Playing on weekends cost you more than playing on weekdays. Generally pricing can be as follows : minimum 1200 Nepali rupees to maximum 2500 Nepali rupees per hour.

You can get discount if you are member for that arena and reserve the arena for fixed regular time.

How can one book or reserve the arena.

Generally booking can be made a day before but during weekends it may not be possible because most of the arena will be packed at that time.You can book or make reservation for the arena via telephone.
